Warwick’s Best-Decorated House & Windows Competitions for VE Day. Friday 8th May 2020
The Mayor of Warwick, Councillor Neale Murphy, is hosting a best-decorated house and window display competition open to all residents of Warwick, to help us celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, whilst complying with the Government’s current advice on social distancing. Warwick’s Chamber of Trade will be supporting an additional ‘shop window display’ category open to all shops in Warwick.
Entry is FREE. Registrations must be completed and submitted, using the online form, before 10am on Thursday 7th May 2020 to be considered for judging. Residents can enter both categories.
The competition encourages original, creative designs and decorations, to tie in with VE Day Celebrations. The Mayor of Warwick will consider any decorations to the front of the house and front windows only. All decorations and displays must be visible from the pavement.
We ask that all competitors continue to follow Government’s advice and only use materials found within their home/business. This is not an essential reason to leave your home.
Judging will take place from 10am on Friday 8th May 2020, so please ensure your displays are ready. We are unable to provide the exact time judging will take place at your address. To download a template and instructions on how to create your own bunting please click here.
