Warwickshire County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order closing Smith Street and St Nicholas Church Street to vehicular traffic as follows:
Smith Street – closed from 11th May 2020 between its junction with Castle Hill and it’s junction with St Johns.
St Nicholas Church Street – closed from its junction with St Johns in the second phase of the works commencing on 8th June 2020.
The closure is required to facilitate major gas mains replacement works.
The Order will commence on Monday 11th May 2020 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Monday 22nd June 2020.
Alternative routes will be signed appropriately. Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of the highway to be closed, if any, will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
