Warwickshire County Council proposes to make two Temporary Traffic Orders closing D4239 Leycester Place, Warwick at its junction with High Street, to vehicular traffic and imposing a temporary one way traffic flow on A429 High Street between the junction or Bowling Green Street and the junction of Brook Street.
Both the closure and the one way traffic flow are required for the safety of all road users and of the contractors facilitating repair and refurbishment works to West Gate.
The Orders will commence on 6 September 2018 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 January 2019.
Please Note
The will be no access from High Street into Leycester Place or egress from Leycester Place onto High Street for vehicular traffic. An alternative route will be available via Castle Lane.
Traffic westward bound on High Street will be free flowing however traffic movement eastwards on High Street towards Jury Street will be prohibited between Bowling Green Street and the junction of Brook Street. An alternative route will be available via Bowling Green Street, Theatre Street, Saltisford, The Butts.
