A Blue Plaque Scheme has been introduced by Warwick Town Council in order to recognise people and places within the CV34 area and to commemorate the lasting contribution made to the community of Warwick.
There are now six Plaques erected around the town which mark the achievements of a wide range of Warwick residents and these are:
- Dick Turpin, Parkes Street – History Dick Turpin
- J. R. R. Tolkien & Edith Bratt, The Catholic Church of St Mary
Immaculate West Street – History JRR Tolkien - Arthur Measures, Mill Garden, Mill Street – History Mill Garden
- Newell Orton, Bridge End – History Newell Orton
- Walter Savage Landor, Landor House, Smith Street – History Walter Savage Landor
- William Holland, Master Glass Maker – History William Holland
Additionally, there are five Plaques marking sites of particular interest which have played significant roles in the development of the town:
- Gas Works, Saltisford – History Gas Works
- Castle Hill Baptist Church, Castle Hill – History Castle Hill Baptist Church
- Kings High School, Landor House, Smith Street – History King’s High
- Donald Healey Motor Company, Coten End – History Donald Healey
- George Nelson Dale & Co, Charles Street, Warwick – History Nelson Dale
